Where it began — a practice built on trust
Panorama Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology was founded in 1989 by Drs. Grove, Woodworth, and Holmsten to accommodate the healthcare needs of women in the Penfield area. Under their direction, they created a practice widely recognized for offering compassionate, attentive, and comprehensive high quality healthcare services.
Over the years the practice expanded in size, added skilled OB/GYN physicians, changed locations for easier patient access and convenience, and changed its name to Penfield Obstetrics and Gynecology. Today, the physicians continue the tradition of providing expert healthcare in a compassionate and attentive atmosphere.
Technology that serves the patient first
Beyond pregnancy and childbirth, Penfield OB/GYN's capabilities have surpassed traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy to include robotic surgical equipment — the da Vinci system — that interfaces directly with the surgeons.
Dr. Laroia and Dr. Klimek introduced robotic GYN surgery at Rochester General Hospital and were among the first in upstate New York to perform robotic GYN procedures. Their level of expertise is such that they have trained other surgeons in the technique.
